At Whitethorn Fields MediClinic we promote good skin health, we work to protect good skin health, and we advise on prevention steps for good skin health. It should come as no surprise to you then that we have chosen The British Skin Foundation as our charity of the year for 2015.
In the UK there are 8 million individuals living with a skin disease. Skin diseases such as acne, eczema and skin cancer are still looking for a cure and it is only through research funded by dedicated supporters and fundraisers that these cures can be found. Since 1996 when The British Skin Foundation was founded they have taken great strides in understanding how many skin diseases function and spread which ultimately effects our management of them. With our support The British Skin Foundation can continue to carry out their invaluable research and one day will hold the key to beating these awful diseases.
As our charity of the year Whitethorn Fields MediClinic will be raising money through out the year for The British Skin Foundation. We will be taking part in one ‘main event’, along with lots of small fundraisers along the way.
The ‘main event’ for this year is The Thames Path from Bourne End to Henley-on-Thames – an 11.5 mile trek along the path. You can visit our just giving page to donate by clicking here.
Thank you, all at Whitethorn Fields MediClinic
